Exxon drinks our milkshakes.
My state is exxon's Punch.
Every morning the Exxon refinery pisses on the Clean Water Act. Since our oil got put out to sell on the world market the "Fire Sale” of this century has been on for the last ten years. A bill sent to congress that had an amendment long sought by the oil and gas cartel has been lobbying to rescind the ban on selling U.S. oil on the global, open market. Put in place by the Nixon administration in response to the Oil embargo imposed by the OPEC group. At this time oil was priced at a measly $3.00 per barrel. The resulting embargo for over a year brought on severe shortages and the price rose to the luck number $13.00 per barrel. Fifty years and millions of intended and unintended consequences, billions annotated footnotes and the bargains made in bad faith and the gallons of blood spilled in unending oil wars. Today the barrel of black gold averages 100 dollars per barrel. Hallelujah.
The Federal Budget for 2014 rescinding the ban on exporting U.S. domestic crude. A policy set in place as a national security interest. Conserving the oil as an irreplaceable asset formed over millions and millions of years. Oil is not a crop. Having secure access to these vital materials. This level of civilization is capable of making real. Medicines, plastics, fertilizers, fabrics, rubber products and the industry to produce these require oil and the petroleum processes to make. It is insane to burn fossil fuels. It is insane use these pure elements of this universe to burn as transportation fuels. It is Just plain FUBAR to carry forward the foreign policy crimes committed for the oil, gas, and unending war industrial complex.
Mitch McConnell tossed a lit match into the fumes of the fevered dreams of unending profit for privately owned gas and oil mafias. Corporations that are people speaking in the tongues of liars. Money is free speech.

This monster of a 2014 budget was signed into law by then president Obama.
And then president Obama signed this into law. The wrong side of history.
